Dry Magnetic Drum Separators
Dry magnetic drum separators are used to separate ores with magnetic susceptibility of 0-40 mm grain size from other non-magnetic materials, or to separate two different metal materials with different magnetic susceptibility. Dry magnetic drum separators consist of a semi-filled magnetic drum, a material chute, and optionally a vibro feeder and bunker.
Magnetic drum separators optimize separation quality through drum speed and separation flap position. The magnetic field strengths of magnetic drum separators are determined in BAS laboratories. Dry magnetic drum separators are suitable for applications with effective surface areas between 900 Gauss and 7,500 Gauss.
