Wet Magnetic Drum Separators
Wet magnetic drum separators are used for separating magnetic-susceptible ores from other non-magnetic materials, or for separating two metallic materials with different magnetic susceptibilities.
Wet magnetic drum separators consist of a half-filled magnetic drum, a material feed hopper, tailings/concentrate chutes and a drive unit. Separation quality is optimised through drum speed and magnetic field strength.
The magnetic field strengths of drum separators are determined per project at the B.A.S. laboratories before manufacturing. Wet magnetic drum separators offer applications between 900 Gauss and 7,500 Gauss across the effective surface area.
